Flemming Madsen—Executive Chairman, Founder

Flemming Madsen is founder and Executive Chairman of Onalytica. Flemming established the company in 2004 with an initial focus on Social Network Analysis before shifting his attentions to the analysis of the online debate following an assignment with the UK Government's COI. Prior to starting Onalytica, Flemming worked for a systems integrator in the defence industry and for the Danish Minister of Economics and Taxation.

Steve Mugridge—Chief Executive Officer

Steve spent 16 years at Accenture in various leadership roles within the IT Services and Outsourcing practice. Primarily focused in application development in the insurance and utilities sectors, Steve has led both UK and global delivery capabilities as engagement lead, application development lead and service director. Prior to Accenture, Steve achieved success over an 8 year career in IT in both technical and managerial roles.

Steve joined Onalytica in early 2009 as the COO to operate and scale the business. He was subsequently promoted to CEO in the summer of 2010 before being promoted to the Board in October 2011.

Michael Birch—Non-Executive Director

Michael is the founder of numerous Internet businesses including Bebo, Ringo and BirthdayAlarm. Michael is currently founder and CEO of Monkey Inferno, a company working on multiple new Internet start-ups. Analytics have been a key reason for success in all of Michael's businesses to date, hence the strong interest in the sophisticated techniques employed by Onalytica. Michael lives in San Francisco with his wife and three children.

Paul Birch—Non-Executive Director

Paul is co-founder of Bebo and BirthdayAlarm, founder of Cominded.com, and more recently is the fourth member of a new venture: Housebites.

Paul's love of the Internet, his background in systems analysis and the value he saw in Onalytica's insight, tools and services led him to invest and forge the relationship with Onalytica in 2008.

Simon Brown—Non-Executive Director

In 17 years at Microsoft, Simon led UK Enterprise Sales before accepting an assignment as General Manager of Microsoft Sweden. This led to further promotion as Vice President of international operations for Microsoft's Developer and Platform Evangelism division with responsibility for growing the ecosystem of partners around the Microsoft software platform which was a critical role for the company. Prior to Microsoft, Simon had a successful 10 year career at IBM in both technical and sales roles.

Simon now runs his own highly regarded coaching and consulting business—Lead Eagle Ltd. He is also a non-executive Director of Corney & Barrow, the London wine merchant, and Modality Ltd.

The Advisory Board

Fergus Hampton

Since mid-2010, Fergus has been providing consultancy services to Onalytica and joined the Advisory Board from the start of 2011.

Until 2009, he was responsible for the management and development of the Precis business unit within Millward Brown, which provides metrics around news and Social Media for brands. Prior to the sale of the company to WPP, Fergus founded the original business in 1993. Previously, he was responsible for Marketing and Product Planning for Steelcase in Europe.

His areas of expertise include monitoring and measuring the effect of news and consumer comment on brands.

Arvindra Sehmi

Arvindra has a long professional track record of verifiable successes. He has an effective combination of deep technical expertise and broad business acumen amassed from over 25 years working in a wide variety of organisations including: academia, the best industrial research labs, some of world's largest investment banks, the world's largest software company, several unique and interesting consulting companies, and a couple of failed ventures.

Arvindra is currently VP of Southworks and former CTO of Onalytica having previously worked for Microsoft. He joined the Advisory Board of Onalytica in late 2010.
